Essentially Yours...

Essentially Yours...

Or maybe Essentially Mine!  As in... I want them all.  Or most of them.

As quilters, we call them blenders, basics and gotta-haves.  They're the fabrics we never have enough of - stripes, checks and dots in good, versatile basic colors that mix with our favorite designer collections, fill in gaps on scrap quilts, make perfect stripe bindings and backgrounds.  Are you playing with a "low volume" quilt?  These dots and microdots will help fill in gaps and add some color.  Some of the pieces have been around before but the colors have been updated, added to, mixed with others and so on to make the new group, Essentially Yours.

Because you know that playing with fabric is one of my favorite things to do, I wanted to share some of the mixing I've been doing with the new Essentially Yours and upcoming designer collections.

Have you been working on your entry for the Moda Bella Solid Challenge?  That's the quilt contest where the winning quilt will hang in the Moda booth at Fall Market and be purchased by Mr. Dunn for $5000.00.

These are the 12 colors of Moda Bella Solids that must be used in the quilt - no, they don't all have to be on the front.  We first wrote about the contest in February but if you just want the specifics for the contest and the list of colors -

The deadline for entries is Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Just so you know... Mr. Dunn is hoping to be able to acquire as many as a dozen quilts.  Just saying...

That's it for today.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
