The Inspiration Behind Raspberry Summer

Raspberry Summer was born as a sister collection to Strawberry Lemonade. Sherri and Chelsi wanted to maintain that same lively vibe while introducing new elements that make this collection truly unique. As always, they’ve focused on creating a range of prints that quilters will love—everything from low-volume prints to vibrant florals.

One of the standout features of this collection is the signature raspberry print, which brings a beautiful design element that’s perfect for adding subtle novelty to your projects. They’ve also included a delightful dot print and brought back paisleys, a favorite from their Balboa collection, in fresh new colors.

The Design Process

Chelsi  hand-draws each floral design before digitizing and refining them in Illustrator. This hands-on approach ensures that every print is crafted with care, blending traditional techniques with modern design.

The Raspberry Summer Collection features a wide range of colors, from vibrant reds and greens that are perfect for Christmas projects, to cool blues and aquas that capture the essence of summer. We’re especially excited about the new shade of blue that they’’ve included, which pairs beautifully with the gingham and paisley prints in the collection.

Versatile Prints for Every Project

Whether you’re looking to create something festive for the holidays, an adorable patriotic project or a light and airy summer quilt–Raspberry Summer has you covered.

One of the most exciting additions is their Cheater Dresden print, which is a dream for quilters who love intricate designs but want to save time. This 60-inch wide print is perfect for backings, apparel, throw pillows, tablecloths, and more. It’s also great for fussy cutting and works wonderfully in a variety of projects, from Moda Blockheads to quilted pillows.

New Patterns and Projects

Sherri and Chelsi already started working on some new patterns featuring Raspberry Summer, and we can’t wait to share them with you. 

One of their favorites is the Raspberry Summer Tote, which features hexagons and a cheater Dresden print inside the bag. It’s machine-pieced, quilted, and has a handy zipper flap at the top.

Sherri and Chelsi have also come up with some beautiful patterns to correspond with this collection!
