BH3 Block 55 - Wine Not

BH3 Block 55 - Wine Not

Jen Kingwell makes scrap quilts the way quilters used to do it, pulling bits of fabric from a basket.  The result is a glorious mix of color and pattern, distinctive and one-of-a-kind.

CT BH3 Dear Jen Flat

I rest my case.

The quilt is titled Dear Jen, and it's a new pattern book - JKD8625.  There are seventy-five blocks, each made three times.  I love the dark/light setting, particularly the subtlety of it.  (Can you tell I'm a big fan?)

Jen's last block for Block Heads 3 is Wine Not.

It can be made in all four sizes - 4", 6", 8" and 12".  For the link to the instructions to Wine Not - Jen Kingwell's Blog.

Instead of sharing blocks, I'm going to share some of Jen's fabric.  Including the in-shops-now Winkipop.

The quilt is titled Antique Stars, and the pattern is in the Jenny From One Block book - JKD5262.

Jen uses a lot of wovens in her quilts, and one of her coming-in-April collections is Low Volume Wovens.  Last year, she created Grainline Wovens.  They were a very fine, thin stripe in vibrant colors.

Color with a bit of texture.  (I might have stashed some of these colors.  Just saying.)

Today's block?  The link to the instructions can be found here - Jen Kingwell's Blog.

The Block Heads 3 Archive is just about complete, only one more block. (The Archive is updated every Wednesday and Friday - blog link on Wednesday, pattern link on Friday.)

If you missed Block Heads 2, all of those blocks can be found here - Block Heads 2 Archive.

Have you kept up with what the designers have made, and shared?  A few finished quilts are starting to pop up, and from what I've seen so far... they're spectacular.

Be sure to check out the Block Heads Facebook Group and look for Block Heads 3 on Instagram - #modablockheads and #modablockheads3.

I hope your Wednesday is a good one - stay well, and stay safe.
