BH3 Block 36 - Broken Dishes
BH3 Block 36 - Broken Dishes
We're unabashed fans of Laurie Simpson - her quilts, her fabrics and her superior skillz with doing scrappy well.
This is Broken Dishes - it's Laurie's third block for Block Heads 3. It's Block 36.
It can be made to finish at 4", 6", 8", and 12". And the instructions can be found here - Minick & Simpson.
This is Laurie's Block 35 - Coming Together.
Broken Dishes - Block No. 28. And yes, we just realized we had two blocks titled Broken Dishes. Oops.
Laurie's version of Ring Around - Block 29.
Block 32 - Beeskep and Flower. After all that applique, there was a trimming error... oh well. Laurie said it won't be noticeable after this is quilted, and she rather likes these kinds of "human touch" moments in quilts.
Laurie's Block 34 - Fulfillment. We love that she fussy-cut a star from her spectacular star print from Mackinac Island.
Isn't this mix of Minick & Simpson collections gorgeous? I told you Laurie knows how to do scrappy.
Again, the instructions for Broken Dishes can be found on Laurie's blog - Minick & Simpson.
And if you need the instructions for any other blocks - Block Heads 3 Archive. (It is updated every Wednesday and Friday.)
There's also a Block Heads 2 Archive.
